An Excerpt from my upcoming book...

In my lifetime I’ve discovered that the Spirit of Fear doesn’t discriminate. It doesn’t care if you are black or white, rich or poor, short or tall, loud or tall. It’s deceptively easy to perceive people with gregarious personalities; those who are outgoing, personable, and seemingly confident, as being fearless. It is equally deceptive to view those that are quiet, less talkative, and reflective as being fearful.

It is not the outward appearance or external expression that indicates the degree that fear exists in a person’s life. In fact, it’s often revealed that those individuals who are the loudest and most daring in action end up being exposed as walking insecurities ready to explode in an avalanche fear-based responses. Conversely, the more quiet or meek personality is discovered to be the one that exhibits the most internal fortitude and fearlessness. Is this always the case? Of course not. That’s why we cannot ever look AT a person and determine the level of fear in which their operating solely based on our perception of their actions. A more telling indication of fear in a person’s life requires looking IN-to a person.

What does it mean to see into someone?

Using your spiritual eyes, you are able to search the spiritual realm and discern some of the fears that have attached themselves to a person. Believe me. This is not some crystal ball, demonic, mind-reading trick. The word of God says…

“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don't even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will.” Romans 8:26-27 NLT

There is a level of discernment that comes with the acquisition of the Holy Spirit that resides in the believer. I like to say that it is a gift that is “built in the blood.” Even when we are unsure of what it is that we are actually seeing in a person, the type of fear it is, and where it comes from; even when we are unsure of how to pray for the person, the Holy Spirit can speak to the Father on your behalf and if it is His will, reveal to you the source of the issue. It is with this gift that those who are called to do so can minister to the needs of a person who has succumbed to the spirit of fear in their life.

No place for ego

When Colonel Samuel Logan Brengle of the Salvation Army was once introduced as "the great Colonel Brengle," he wrote in his journal: "If I appear great in their eyes, the Lord is most gracious in helping me to see how absolutely nothing I am without Him. He does use me. But I'm so conscious that He uses me, and that it's not of me that the work is done. The axe cannot boast of the trees it has cut down. It could do nothing without the woodsman. He made it, he sharpened it, he used it, and the moment he throws it aside it becomes only old used iron. Oh, that I may never lose sight of this." (excerpt from the Rhema Word Daily Devotional)
Heavenly Father,
There are no places in your Kingdom for ego's, Lord. So, in the name of Jesus, I cast down every imagination that tries to exalt itself above you. It's really easy, Father, for any of us to begin to believe our own press, Lord. Our flesh desires to be accepted and seeks the approval of men. I thank you that every day we crucify those desires...nailing them to the cross; walking in humility as we press toward the mark of the high calling of Jesus Christ. I love you, Lord...for what you've done FOR me and what you're doing IN me. I bless your name, Lord. My petitions go out for everyone who reads this, Lord. Address every need of every nature, Lord...like only you can. You said that you will finish the work you started in us...and I believe that it is so.
In Jesus name,

More Prayer

Yes, Lord, our "human instincts" say that love always comes with strings attached. But.. "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that WHOSOEVER believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."

Draw me nearer to you, Lord. Hold me captive to your will. In the Name of Jesus, bind our hearts to you, Lord. No acceptance is greater than what Jesus did on that Cross, Lord. Help us to lay down our life...our pride and all that we believe that we are worth by earthly standards...for each other. Each other, Lord. Allow compassion to permeate our hearts. Let us not be able to walk by a hungry, starving soul on the street without feeding him or her...either with physical food...or with the bread of Life...the word. Even when we don't have money, we should always have that.

I know, Lord, that if my finite mind and my chaotic thoughts were the stopping point of all that I could acquire in this life...then what a pitiful life it would be. Especially in comparison to the unspeakable joy that you provide in my surrendering fully to you. For your thoughts are higher that our thoughts and your ways are higher than our ways. Teach us, Lord...to recognize the subtle exaltation of unGodly things in our lives...Purge it from us, my Father. And as we grow, give us unspeakable and unimaginable favor...place us in places we've never been, with people we've never met... doing and creating things we could have never imagined...all for your Kingdom, all for your Glory.

In Jesus Name,
Your servant...

It's time.

Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord."

Thank you, Father. Thank you for this day. Thank you for traveling mercies, Father, as Will and I made our way to D.C and back. I lift the newly established covenant between Angela and Larry...may you bring forth greatness from their union. Thank you for showing us the power of a Godly love...and your ability to restore the hearts of us.

Thank you for the awesome revealing of your word. Thank you for renewal and holding me accountable to the steadfastness that is required for what you've called me and many of us to do. Thank you for the beauty that is still left in the world in spite of the devil's attempts to steal, kill, and destroy. Thank you for the safety of the blood of your Son...and the open throne in which we are now able to come and present ourselves to you.

Lord, In the Name of Jesus, I personally pray for the commitment and diligence of all of those who are associated with what you have called your people to do in this earth. That there will be an relentless, persistent, fearless, dedication to your order, your will, and your service. Lord, help us all to not be distracted by our flesh. Dismantle soulish connections and Loose any prideful natures; remove anything that we might have set up as idols in our lives. It is time, Lord. More than ever you are showing us that it is time for us to stop fitting in and start standing out for CHRIST. Show us how to do that...through your word...through your word...you have released us to do great things for you.
Discernment. Commitment. Fearlessness. Diligence. Humbleness. You've shown us how to manifest what you've already finished. Help us to walk in it fully and with the power of the Holy Spirit. We praise you, Father. Because we know that even as we speak this...it is done.
